I was getting stuck in my head and frustrated in trying to find an idea that felt original so I used that feeling to guide my imagination into this painting. I pondered what it could look like if I wasn’t trapped in my head about what I was trying to create. What could that look like? To be completely free to allow whatever fell off the end of my pencils and paints to be enough no matter what it was. To drop all expectations of the end result. To not care if it would be liked. To not care if I would like it. To simply let fly with shape and colour. I think that would look something like this.
