Annie MacPherson

Once a potter in PNG who trained with the national potters , Annie Macpherson has a love of nature, and had always wanted to paint. While renovating, Annie discovered her love of paint…how you could change a bland wall just by painting with the inspiration of colour, and that is evident in her works.
Living in the rainforest in Far North Queensland she is inspired amongst the trees, plants, and birds but “I would never attempt to duplicate the intricacy of nature, so by layering inks and acrylic paints I can begin the process of a colour explosion, and fine line intuitive markings direct my abstract , fantasy intent onto the canvas. “
The many layers upon layers of glazing colours brings the artwork to life, and final outlining completes the artwork.
